Event Details

Polish guitarist Marcin Dylla has won 18 first prizes in national and international competitions, including the Guitar Foundation of America International Competition in 2007.  Dylla has been regularly invited to appear at international music festivals including the Don Quijote Music Festival (France), Musique Dans la Rue (Aix-en-Provence, France), Inverno Musicale (Italy), Festival Internacional de Música (Italy), Festival Internazionale Settimane Musicali di Stresa (Italy), Burghofspiele Eltville (Germany), International Festival Musical Olympus (Russia) and Central European Music Festival (Lithuania).  

In 2006, Cecilia Rodrigo, daughter of famed composer Joaquin Rodrigo, chose Dylla to perform one of her father’s newly discovered works at the Reina Sofia Museum of Modern Art in Madrid.  He has performed as a soloist with the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra, the Essen Chamber Orchestra, the Hermitage State Orchestra, the Fort Collins Symphony, the Acadiana Symphony Orchestra, the Orquesta Sinfónica de Radio Television Espanola, Orchestra Filharmonica di Torino and the St. Petersburg Philharmonia Orchestra).  Dylla studied guitar at the Ruda Slaska Music Conservatory, the Music Academy of Katowice with Adi Wanda Palacz, the Music Academy of Basel with Oscar Ghiglia, the Music Academy of Freiburg with Sonja Prunnbauer and the Music Academy of Maastricht with Carlo Marchione.

Will Call
Will Call is located in the Venue Box Office. Tickets may be picked up one hour prior to show time. Please bring confirmation number and valid photo ID.

General Rules
No cameras, video, or recording devices.

Smoking is NOT allowed inside the venue.
Please silence all communications devices while in the venue.

Standing Room
In the event of unfilled seats at show time, the management reserves the right to fill empty seats with standing room patrons.

Late Seating
Late seating will only be done during an appropriate break in the performances. Late seating may not be available for all events.

Discount Tickets
Discount tickets are available for the following groups: UTD students, UTD faculty, UTD staff, UTD retirees, children under 18, other university students, UTD alumni association members, seniors, outside groups of 30 or more and members of the Tiers of Friendship.

Refunds & Exchanges
All sales are final. Refunds and exchanges are only available to members of the Tiers of Friendship.

Disabilities & Special Accommodations
All UTD venues are ADA compliant. Persons needing special accommodations should call 972-883-2982 M-F 9-5 to make arrangements.

Children
Children under the age of three who do not require a seat will be admitted for free. No strollers will be allowed in the venue. Please bring noisy children to the lobby.
